Short Term Rental Property

Short term rental property (STR) often called Airbnb, VRBO or Vacation Rentals generally have the same meaning.  Properties that are rented on a 30 day or less basis fall into the above description.  Municipalities with ordinances that regulate rental properties distinguish between short term and long term.  Long term rentals are usually not regulated by local government.  Rentals of less than 30 days are often subject to zoning and other regulations.
